They are a range of hills, extending into Manipur State of India tKhonumthung (Mount Victoria) (10,500 feet), is the highest mountain. Regarded as a Unique place for mountaineers. Diverse forests includes teaks, pine and tea plants. The hilly ranges stretch into the Nagaland in India.

There are two districts in Chin State, Hakha in the north and Mindat in the south.

Hakha the capital of Chin State, is situated in the Northern Chin State at 6,200 feet above sea level and built on the slope of a mountain, with a beautiful scene. In winter, clouds cover most parts of the city, with a few minus degrees Celsius. Can go by car via Mandalay taking approximately 24 hours.

Mindat, - via Pakokku, a big city near Bagan. with a car taking trip from Pakokku to Mindat usually takes around 7 hours depending on the condition of the car and weather.
